Portrait Photography

When you're ready to book your shoot, we'll discuss what you hope to capture, and where you hope to shoot them. If you have samples of photos you like, we can discuss how to incorporate similar themes or ideas into your portraits. If you have samples you DON'T like, that's helpful information too! At the time of booking, I'll collect a 50% deposit.

Most portrait shoots entail traveling to a location, which I have built into the price of your package. The standard shoot price includes any locations within a 25-mile radius of Palm Springs. If your desired location falls outside of that radius, I'll provide you with a specific quote for the shoot. Any location fees or permits required for your desired spot will be your responsibility.

If you plan on including children or pets in your shoot, keep in mind that when your children or pets are happy, we're ALL happy! So plan accordingly by bringing favorite toys, snacks, or treats — they go a long way when it comes to pulling off a shoot.

I allot up to 3 hours for a standard portrait shoot. That gives us time to shoot in a few different settings, and gives you time for any wardrobe changes, and managing any props or pets that you would like in your photo. If applicable, please arrive with your hair and/or makeup camera-ready. 

We will have time to review the photos as we go, to make sure they're working for you. This is a collaboration — don't ever hesitate to suggest ideas. These are YOUR photos, and I want you to be happy with the final result.

Within 24 hours of your shoot, I will upload digital proofs to a private website for you to review. Take as much time as you need to select your 25-30 favorites. When you let me know that you've made your selections, I will edit your photos within 5 days, upload them to a private site, and then provide a download link for you. At the time you download your photos, the remaining 50% of your shoot fee will be due.

Photo shoots aren't cheap — plain and simple. You'll be receiving very high-quality, high-resolution images that will look STUNNING if printed properly. Rather than taking them to CVS or Walgreens to be printed, I know of some excellent print facilities with competitive pricing that offer everything from traditional paper prints, to canvas, metal, and even mugs and merchandise. If you're interested, I would be happy to get a price sheet for you with different sizes and options.
